Beware of the Low Bid…
We all know the sayings that if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t. In the case of Saint Louis tuckpointing or contractors, it’s easy to quote a low price, but tough to deliver quality work. If a St. Louis tuckpointer gives you a quote that’s a third of other quotes, ask yourself what’s missing? Typically what they’re not telling you is that they aren’t carrying insurance, worker’s comp or that they sub contract your tuckpointing project. In some cases, they may even hire undocumented labor. If a worker is hurt at your St. Louis home or business and they don’t carry proper insurance, you, the homeowner or business owner, could be liable and on the losing end of a costly lawsuit. Also, they may cut corners in materials used or time spent making sure the project is completed correctly. Last year, Massey Tuckpointing and Masonry repointed or repaired substandard tuckpointing and masonry on almost 24% of the homes we tuckpointed. Unfortunately the homeowner or business owner had to pay twice–once to have the job done poorly, then a second time to fix the shoddy work. Don’t pay twice. Pay once and know that the work, materials and company behind your tuckpointing is going to stand behind their work. We have the highest ratings with the BBB, Angie’s List, carry all proper insurance, permits, hire experienced, skilled, drug-tested tuckpointers and pay attention to all the details and customer service. We are the company that you’ll want to refer to family, friends and neighbors.
